How do we book?
First, kindly check if Laurence is available for your date either by: (i) filling in the online contact form; (ii) emailing; or (iii) give him a call. Contact. If you confirm a booking the next step is to fill out a booking form and return this with a deposit.
Will Laurence meet you before the wedding?
Laurence always meets the couple at least once to get to know them and explore what photography they would like for their wedding day or engagement shoot.
What are your rates?
Prices start at £3000 [inc. tax and disbursements] for a wedding. Each couple and their requirements are unique and hence Laurence’s approach is tailored to each individual wedding.
What equipment do you use?
Laurence invests heavily each year in equipment to achieve the best results. Currently he uses Canon Pro bodies and L series lenses. Profoto flash equipment along with California Sunbounce reflectors and diffusers for outdoor shots. Laurence’s digital darkroom is made up of Macintosh computers and Eizo Coloredge monitors for the highest color accuracy and fastest workflow. Images are processed using Phase One's Capture One Pro software. All images are backed up multiple times both on and offsite to avoid data corruption.
Do you check out venues?
Yes. Laurence always visits the ceremony and reception venues to best evaluate the schedule, find locations for groups and bride and groom photos and decide on lighting. Laurence also liaises with those organising the ceremony and reception to ensure that he can synchronise with them seamlessly.
How many photographers/assistants do you work with?
This all depends on the size and scale/ logistics of the wedding. Laurence always works with an assistant (included in the price), in order to produce the most relaxed situations with the most beautiful light.
How long will you stay at the wedding?
Laurence aims to tell the story of your wedding day, starting with the preparations and ending with the first dance. Should you wish Laurence to stay for the breakdancing later on this can arranged.
What other services do you provide?
Hand finished prints, thank you cards, custom retouching, photo booth services
Who prints your images?
All fine art prints are produced in-house at Laurence’s studio on large format giclée printers (Epson Stylus Pro range) on a variety of fibre based fine art papers, from Canson, Hahnemulhe and Ilford. All prints are produced to the highest archival and colour management standards.
How are my images delivered?
Online delivery is now the preferred format for delivery, allowing family and friends to view and download images worldwide. Images are available in multiple resolutions allowing you to email or print images without resizing. Images are optimised for print and Laurence can provide you advice on how best to transmit your files to printers should you require. For the best results Laurence recommends you print your images directly with him. Images can be delivered a USB drive on request.
Can Friends and Family buy images?
All of your wedding images are placed on our password protected site. This allows friends and family to view and order prints, or downloads of your images at their leisure.
How does the album design process work?
Once you have received your login to your images on our online platform you can begin adding the pictures you would like in your album to ‘your favourites’. Let Laurence know when you have finished and then he will export this list and use these images to design your album. Once a soft copy of the album design is produced you will be able to view it online and let Laurence know should you wish to make any changes at all to the layout. Once this is done Laurence can send it to print at his preferred experienced bespoke book binders.
Are you insured?
Yes Laurence has both public liability and professional indemnity insurance from Towergate Camerasure underwritten by Aviva Insurance Ltd.
